Historians doubt that Bayajida actually existed, but the legend of Bayajida remains powerful. It refers to him as the man whose lineage founded the Hausa nation. Decisive changes in society are attributed to him, and the legend is re-enacted yearly in Daura, Nigeria.

The hausa people are a group of people who belong to the chadic speaking people. They are the major group among them. The science of genetics has proven through haphlogroups that the people of the northern Nigeria and the Chadic as a whole carry the R1b1 haphlogrouph which is not found in any group in Africa today with a significant amount. The R1b1 haphlogroup is found in the area where the hausa legend said this man bayajidda came from, the legends that said these people came from the northern part of this world, meaning they have not been always natives of the subsaharan Africa. This has been proven with genetics. According to the research this happened around 7,000 years ago. it might also explain why this man bayajidda married this sarauniya daurama considering they are thesame people from thesame place. This will dismiss the notion that he was an arab who saved this poor african people, I doubt seven thousand years ago the arabs even existed and if they did they would have been just an insignificant small group of people, arabs became large and famous with the advent of islam which was just around 1400 years ago. The ancient world is nothing like todays civilization and therefore one cannot assume that the area of around iraq has always been white caucasoid people, it will be foolish to assume that just as we cannot assume U.S.A has been white for jusy as close as 500 years back. Again the language of the hausa people is Afroasiatic belonging to the chadic languages which are the only Afroasiatic languages in subsaharan Africa since these languages came from the north! everything suggests north just as the legends tells us. All critical observations will lead us to the confirmation that this legend is not really a myth but an actual event that happened around 7,000 years ago with these groups of people leaving the area of what we call middle east today travelling through the egypt through the nile river, sudan, ethiopia and ending up in the lake chad. Then this prince bayajidda travelled all the way from thesame region helps the people of daura and then married the Queen.
