Migrant choir to perform Mozart's Idomeneo, King of Crete at Rome Opera
About 30 migrants will step onto the stage of the Rome Opera as extras in Mozart's opera "Idomeneo, King of Crete". Arriving in boats from Libya or through the Catholic community of Sant'Egidio, these refugees play themselves or the role of soldiers in this production, which hopes to raise awareness about war and migration.

Blind singer goes from streets to stardom in north Nigeria
Yahaya Usman, known by his stage name “Yahaya Mahako” (Mahako means blind in Hausa), went from being a beggar to a famous singer in northern Nigeria. After losing his sight to measles when he was 3, he was sent away from his village and was told street begging was his only means to survive.
