Since Emmerson Mnangagwa was declared winner of Zimbabwe’s first post-Mugabe elections poll, the country has remained on the edge. Until his ascension to power, Mnangagwa, 75, was a close aide of Robert Mugabe, the 94-year-old autocrat who ruled for 37 years.
